This latest novel from Hannah Linder is filled with intrigue, mystery, and a bit of suspense. Darker themes are explored than in previous novels, in particular, post-traumatic stress disorder and insight to the mind of a serial killer during Victorian times.

The faith thread is light (a secondary character experiences a life-change when he repents of his past deeds – though the main characters attend church, however faith isn’t something they lean on in their difficulties).
