BOOK BY: Rachel Scott McDaniel
I heard so many great things about this book, I finally grabbed my own copy. And what a story!
I don’t even know where to start. Catherine is such a loveable character you want her to find her happy ending. Rhett is the kind of hero that readers can fall in love with, and understand.
Characters are loveable and detestable. Descriptions of Pittsburgh during the 1920s pulls the reader in with sights and smells. Catherine’s fear is palpable, and I wouldn’t want to be living where she is during prohibition.
Connections aren’t easily figured out, and there’s a delightful twist at the end of the story.
A wonderful story of redemption in a very dark time.
