What an awesome conclusion to this trilogy!
Readers are brought back to Cape Cod, to visit with old friends from books one and two. Brynn Haywood, Dawn’s best friend, flees to the Creamery after an impulsive marriage to a guy she’d known less than twenty-four hours.
As the story unfolds, memorable characters revisit (such as Nanette and Cowboy Leo) as Brynn finds refuge in helping Marnie at the ice cream shop. Of course, Marnie and Dawn have advice for the impulsive, runaway bride which brings some interesting conflicts. But just when Brynn seems to have found a quiet place to figure out all the whys of her life, Linc’s estranged family comes to the Cape to celebrate his daughter’s wedding. And…adds more drama.
There’s so much to like about this story and Suzanne Woods Fisher keeps the momentum going right from page one. Interesting twists are thrown in significant places, keeping the reader engaged with this light, but faith-filled read. Not all is as it seems!
Characters we’ve visited in the past are given enough page time for readers to feel that they’ve “caught up” with the latest news. And some fun new characters add colour, and conflict, to Brynn’s story. A mother-of-the-bride-zilla, an angry son and a missing groom make for a fun conclusion to a great trilogy.
I especially loved the epilogue – more loose ends neatly tied up that will leave you smiling at the end.
