What an excellent conclusion to this series!
Readers get to learn more about Clayton Bradshaw, whom we met in book one. Clayton is one of those really likeable heroes in this story. He’s had a rough time and is getting over a major hurdle in his life. He’s gentle when it comes to the women in his life, but protective when he needs to be. A tough guy, with a big heart.
Madison Thorn is equally likeable. We catch a glimpse of a betrayal early on in the story which sends her into a different direction with her career. The poor woman suffers enough in this story, but each time she comes out of it – with Clayton by her side.
There’s not as much action in this story as the previous two novels, but there’s plenty of intrigue and secrets to uncover. There are a lot of suspects and lots of people with things to hide in this story, so it’s no wonder that some intense incidences weren’t related. And that all isn’t as it appears to be.
A great story. Some juicy secrets. And an intriguing summer read.
