Book Review: HOSTILE INTENT (Danger Never Sleeps 4)

BOOK BY: Lynette Eason

Oh my.

Buckle up your seatbelt and hang on for the ride through the fast-paced, fully leaded reader experience of Hostile Intent, by Lynette Eason. This is the most exciting book of the series and I could not put it down.

The story follows Ava and Caden, characters we’ve been introduced to before in the Danger Never Sleeps series. When a series of seemingly random murders happen across the US, FBI agent Caden Denning is on the case. Ava Jackson is grieving the loss of her father and trying to care for her dying mother. Caden and Ava’s lives will intersect, connecting them intimately to espionage, the former KGB, and the fight to uncover the truth about Ava’s father’s death.

This book has it all: car chases, shoot-outs, secrets, shocking discoveries, twists, and a surprise ending, all sprinkled with bits of romance. New characters are introduced (which I hope means more books in this series, or at least a spin-off series).

Readers are treated to updates on the previous heroes and heroines from books one through three. It’s possible to read this book as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the books leading up to this one. It will help understand the nuances of relationships.

I received an ecopy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.
